I had such a great time with Alexa and Colby for their JC Raulston Engagement Session. We braved the mid-day sun and heat, meeting a 2:00 pm! The park is really beautiful, but they closed early so we had to make sure we were there during hours of operation. I always make sure to reassure couples about light. Even shooting in the midday sun, we’re always able to find those magical pockets of pretty light!
Making Connections
Alexa and I connected over email, both being female small business owners and originally hailing from sunny FL! Our immediate connection through emails brought us together for their engagement session! Alexa found me through her long time friend and photographer who lives in Texas! When Alexa and Colby were looking for an engagement photographer, Alexa trusted her friend to guide her towards someone local to NC and through the power of Insta and the web, her photo friend recommended me! I had such a great time getting to know Alexa and Colby a bit more, peep their sweet dance moves and watch their fun/carefree love for one another shine.

Alongside planning a wedding now, Alexa is the founder and CEO of a wonderful business with a focus on empowering women to step out of their shadows in life and into the light they deserve to thrive in. She engages in live and/or virtual speaking events, workshops and even has her first published book in the works!
