Micro wedding in Uptown Charlotte with Lanie & Adam.
To start, when I met Lanie & Adam, a little over a year before their wedding date, none of us knew that come 2020, a global pandemic would take over the world and change so many plans. Like many of my recent posts you may read, Lanie and Adam had to adapt to the many changes Covid-19 brought our way. A smaller guest list. A new venue. A totally different kind of party. All the same love.
Instead of opting for a traditional venue, Lanie and Adam decided to have a smaller dinner party style micro wedding in Uptown Charlotte. Subsequently, they cancelled the bigger event venue they originally booked, which was slated to host over 200 guests. Conversely, they rented a beautiful restaurant in Uptown Charlotte for the evening and hosted their closest friends and family (about 50 people total) to an evening of great food, sweet vows and well, an open bar. Importantly, although much smaller and not the original party they planned for nearly a year, this micro wedding was still a fun and memorable (& really beautiful) way to ring in their newly married life with one another!
Cue the amazing Micro Wedding! Enjoy!
