Sometimes, with just enough trust –your bride and groom will have you shoot their wedding day single handedly. While I love shooting beside fellow photographers, bouncing our ideas off of each other, easing the workload, etc; sometimes I need to sit back, shoot a wedding solo and see where the challenge takes me. As soon as I met Kristie and Adam, I without a doubt, wanted to make sure this wedding was handled like a boss. (I always do, but I was instantaneously inspired which is a really good feeling.) The two about to marry, flew in from Canada to enjoy the warmth, sunshine, and a little bit of sand under their toes to help ring in their vows. Along with them, the pair also made sure that 65 of their closest friends and family ALL flew in from Canada to witness the occasion with them. I was the “American” that day–in a fun way, of course. It was awesome. At several points during the event, I forgot I was even home — just here in Orlando — their energies transported me that much. I love meeting people. That’s the main reason why I believe I have the greatest job in the world; but meeting 65 strangers and having every-single-one of them treat me like family, like they’ve known me for years rather than just hours. That was amazing. That’s what makes ten hours of shooting the biggest day of someone’s life even more worthwhile than it already is. Welcome to their party–and boy, can these Canadians party! Check it out!
