This intimate outdoor ceremony in downtown Lakeland is another testament that love wins. Yes, even over a global pandemic. I’m so grateful for the creativity and safety my couples kept in mind throughout 2020. While many people either cancelled, rescheduled or disregarded safety altogether, I found my couples creating innovative ways to still get married while continuing to follow CDC guidelines.
A NEW PLAN
Originally, Marissa and Austin planned to have a large wedding with 200+ people and a late night party. Clearly, rounding out 2020, that plan wasn’t going to happen. With safety in mind, they decided to have an intimate outdoor ceremony in Downtown Lakeland at the Loggia of Lake Mirror. The ceremony would still host many guests, but it would be outside and would not be followed by a large gathering indoors. I was happy to photograph this pivotal moment in their lives.
At this point, I have photographed several weddings that have had to change course due to Covid-19. I continue to write about it because I want couples to know that there ARE alternatives where weddings can happen in a safe way. Reach out to me to get your special day on my calendar now!
