It’s always a fun time for some downtown Raleigh engagement photos! Hannah and Kyle call Downtown Raleigh home, so it was only fitting that we had their engagement session around their favorite areas! Although, we wanted the engagement photos to showcase the city of Raleigh, the couple also really wanted some greenery in their images as well. We started our session at the NC Museum of Art which is always a favorite Raleigh photo location of mine! It was still a little cold on this mid march afternoon, which gave Hannah a chance to rock her winter boots one last time!
When we left, NC Museum of Art, we headed downtown to finish out the engagement session. I loved the classy outfits for the downtown setting. My biggest tip for couples when choosing outfits, is to make one a casual ‘happy hour’ outfit and one that feels more like a cocktail inspired date night! This helps couples choose an outfit, because they can relate that to everyday life, rather than ‘what to wear for a photo shoot’.
For downtown Raleigh, we chose to take photos at the Capitol building! This building is not only a classic landmark here in North Carolina, but it also makes for a beautiful photo location. Finishing out the evening, we stopped at Boylan bridge, which overlooks the city of Raleigh! The couple frequently walks this bridge, so I loved that we were able to use a location so special to the two of them within our session time!
