Backyard Wedding in Vineland, New Jersey? Hmm, how did that happen? Read to find out!

Picture this: It’s 3 weeks before your wedding and suddenly, you get this news. There is a travel ban now in place for your home state of New Jersey. This prevents the majority of your guests from traveling south. First of all, ‘the south’ is where your wedding is to take place. Also, how is this happening three weeks before the wedding?! Considering there is a mandatory quarantine when they come back home, most of your guests are now calling to tell you that they now cannot come to your event. Weighing the options and not being able to personally afford a quarantine at home, travel is now out of the question.

Sounds like a nightmare, right? Well, it happened to this couple. At this point, many might have given up. Maybe they would have decided to elope or postpone for a later date. However, with an unpredictable military schedule and the desire to make things official, Bri and Tyler put on a brave face and got creative. If you have lived through 2020, you know the new ‘we can’ spirit I’m hinting at here.

What happened next? Bri called myself and each of her vendors to talk about the news. “Look, I know this isn’t what we planned, but I love ALL of my vendors and I cannot imagine losing any of you. Regardless of the original plan, can you scrap it and come to Jersey with us?!”

So, that was that. In just a few short weeks, Bri and Tyler replanned their ENTIRE wedding to accommodate their guests. This wasn’t the original plan, but it was in the safety of their home state with the comfort of Tyler’s dad’s backyard.

I’m thrilled that Bri and Tyler decided to take their original wedding team with them. We were able to safely and happily celebrate their love during the sweet backyard wedding in Vineland. I will always look back on this day with them and smile with warmth in my heart.

Enjoy the photos!
